Meet the Newest Members of the ENX2 Crew: Spring 2021 Interns

ENX2 Welcoming Interns 2021

With the start of a new semester for local college students underway, the ENX2 Crew is expanding our family with three new interns! As part of an initiation to the ENX2 Marketing team, we’ve conducted a Q&A with our interns, Jen Sgroi, Nick Alfano, and Nicole Kerestes!–and you know we found out what their spirit animal was.

Nick Alfano

Wilkes University
Senior
Business Administration, focus in Marketing

What is your primary interest in digital marketing?: My primary interest in Digital Marketing is Web Design. I really tend to enjoy it since there are so many options for creating and designing a website, and it really allows you to make something unique that can emphasize a business’ image.

What’s something you hope to learn during the internship?: I want to learn how to communicate with clients effectively since I haven’t really had the opportunity for many first-hand experiences throughout my college career. Getting to be in a professional setting is important for any student so I’m excited to see just how much I can learn.

Favorite movie/book quote?: My favorite quote comes from the movie Anchorman, “Boy, that escalated quickly…” since there have been moments where we all can agree get randomly out of hand regardless of you wanting them to.

What’s something you bring to the table that has helped during the internship?: Aside from my studies, I also work as the Marketing Director for Wilkes’ Radio Station, WCLH, and have done a fair bit of advertising and media design work as a result. This makes me feel considerably comfortable in a professional setting as I’ve done a decent bit of marketing work already.

I am excited to finally experience how it all works outside of the classroom and soak up as much information about social media, web design, and content writing, as well as dive into some aspects that I may not have much knowledge of.

What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?: I will not be the only graduate this year in my family. My son is graduating from high school this year. Fingers crossed, we will be able to have a big graduation party with family and friends.

What have you been doing during the last few months to stay busy?: Over the summer, my family and I spent many days and nights outside on the patio, but now my time is split between my own coursework, assisting my son with his schoolwork online, or typical family/housework.
