Hello, 2019: Let’s Be Amazing!

ENX2 Happy New Year
We wish you an amazing New Year in 2019!

With 2018 coming to a close, I am excited to bring on a new year full of possibility and opportunity! I have been so happy with just how far I have come in my life and to be able to plan for the future knowing that it will continue to get better with each year to come. I love the concept of a fresh new start that each year brings! It’s a yearly reminder that there’s so much potential in each and every day.

Every year, I strive to make a New Year’s resolution that is unrelated to something like a diet or gym routine. Instead, I try to work on my character. Last year, I decided my New Year’s resolution was to smile with my teeth more. Now that probably sounds laughable, but it truly has helped me feel more confident with myself both inside and out. It happened gradually as the months went by but it’s the little things that add up to the big things when I look back.

Making a New Year’s resolution is a common tradition that most people I know will make and try to keep. It isn’t always easy to make a drastic life change, which is why many people give up on their resolutions after the first week or first month. However, don’t fret if you break your resolutions; life is full of surprises! Besides, you have a whole year to set goals and surpass them! Be careful you don’t give up on yourself just because you gave up on a resolution for the new year. In my experience, the more prepared you are for whatever life throws your way, the better off you will be. However, no one has all of the answers to get through life, which is why I find the idea of traditions and the superstitions they’re most often derived from to be fascinating.

It’s interesting to think that most traditions stem from superstitions that have stayed with families for generations and my family is no exception. One of my favorite New Year’s traditions was passed down through my great-grandparents. My Mommom will call me if I’m not at her house minutes before the ball drops to remind me to have money in my hand and to tell me she loves me. I can’t say that it keeps me wealthy all throughout the year, nor can I disprove that it didn’t help me to get through another year of financial decisions.

Regardless of what kind of traditions you decide to partake in this year, my best advice would be to trust your gut and do what feels right for you! Personally, the deepest truth I have come to realize is that you are the only one who can change your life, so don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone! In the words of Nicole Farber, “The best things happen outside of your comfort zone!” So, this New Year’s Eve I challenge you to be the BEST version of yourself that you can be! As far as I know, no one ever regretted being their best so what do you have to lose?

2019 is just a few days away, and the ENX2 Marketing team is excited for the new year because we have some big plans for the new year to come! We’re ready to be amazing in 2019!
